Overview

The Insurance Enrollment Supervisor will lead the day-to-day operations of the enrollment team by overseeing application processing, supporting team members, ensuring service levels are met, and serving as the primary operational liaison with Sales and internal departments. This role is responsible for the daily execution of enrollment activities and ensuring applications are processed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities of the Insurance Enrollment Specialists.
  • Monitor application workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Review submitted applications for completeness and compliance with company and carrier guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison between Enrollment and Sales, providing updates on application status, outstanding requirements, and compliance issues.
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to improve quality, productivity, and customer service.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and service level metrics.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Identify workflow issues and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and approval rates.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve application issues and improve the customer experience.
  • Ensure confidentiality of protected information and compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Support change initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting of suspected violations of law and Company policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information; abides with HIPAA, OSHA and PHI guidelines at all times.
  • Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in insurance enrollment or insurance operations required.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
