Overview

The Data Entry Team Leader is responsible for assisting with training Demographics employees and troubleshooting any minor issues that arise.  This is a working Demographic position and will also support and maintain all demographic information for each territory and related tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Document Manager with training, developing and motivating employees.
  • Continually improve current processes and procedures.
  • Give feedback and report weekly on department issues to the Document Manager.
  • Support manager and helps lead by example and set the pace of the workflow for the department.
  • Assist with communication of team goals/deadlines and identify areas for new training or skill checks.
  • Assist management with hiring processes and new team member training.
  • Answer team member questions, help with team member problems, and review quality and quantity of work.
  • Data entry of patient demographics/responsible party/insurance /facility/referring provider and any other information pertain to patient billing and general information.
  • Attach medical records to patient chart.
  • Update patient status
  • Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting suspected violations of law and Company policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information; abides with HIPAA and PHI guidelines at all times.
  • Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Data entry
  • Previous medical office background helpful
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability.
