Overview

A senior-level IT strategic leader responsible for overseeing enterprise data analytics, technology integration, and business operations support.  This role directs a high-performing team, leads complex projects across departments, and plays a key role in shaping business processes, partner integrations, and system efficiencies. You play a vital role in driving innovation and ensuring successful project outcomes. Your deep understanding and experience in healthcare and/or insurance industries are instrumental in your day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional analytics and technology team that serves as the primary resource for all data and reporting needs across the business.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and innovative culture that consistently delivers high-value results.
  • Oversee the flow of data across internal and external systems into centralized environments for enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and availability of data to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Spearhead enterprise-wide projects involving cross-departmental coordination, from initiation through completion.
  • Drive efficiency through process design, automation, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to deliver actionable insights, support organizational goals, and influence high-level strategies.
  • Act as a key liaison between business and technical stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives.
  • Serve as a strategic leader in evaluating, onboarding, and integrating external business partners.
  • Lead efforts in systems integration, data migration, and process alignment to ensure seamless collaboration and long-term success.
  • Play a critical role in shaping the business’s direction by identifying opportunities, mitigating risks, and making informed decisions on technology and data.
  • Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting of suspected violations of law and Company policy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information; abides with HIPAA and PHI guidelines at all times.
  • To work remotely, it is expected you will have a reliable, nonpublic high-speed internet connection with sufficient bandwidth to participate in all work-related activities. Any interruptions in service should be immediately reported to your manager.  
  • Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management or a related field (experience in healthcare and/or insurance preferred)
  • Proven experience in business technology leadership, data analytics, and strategic planning.
  • Strong background in process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.
  • Expertise in interpreting data to influence business decisions and drive outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Anticipate needs in a proactive manner to increase satisfaction.

  • Microsoft Suite

  • Master Data Management (MDM) – strategies for consistent, reliable enterprise data
  • SQL (advanced) – ability to query, validate, and optimize queries

You don’t need to write complex procedures, but you should be able to review and understand them.

  • Data modeling – relational, dimensional (star/snowflake schemas), and modern approaches (like Data Vault, wide tables, or semantic layers)
  • ETL/ELT processes – strong understanding of data pipelines and how data moves from source → warehouse → analytics

  • Data Infrastructure & Tools
  • Data Warehousing – familiarity with platforms like SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, etc.
  • APIs & Integrations – understanding how to connect disparate systems (insurance, claims, finance, etc.)
  • Analytics & BI
  • Business Intelligence Tools – Power BI others (Tableau, Looker, Qlik, etc.) Ability to set standards for visualization, governance, and adoption
  • Data Reporting & KPIs – defining metrics, building dashboards, and ensuring data trust.
  • Self-service analytics – empowering non-technical users with governed access to data
  • Programming & Automation
  • Python or R (preferred: Python) – for automation, data manipulation, and advanced analytics
  • Scripting – bash, PowerShell, or similar for process automation
  • Data Governance & Security
  • Data quality frameworks – monitoring accuracy, completeness, timeliness
  • Metadata management & cataloging – Collibra, Alation, or built-in cataloging tools
  • Security & Compliance – HIPAA, GDPR, or industry-specific data handling standards
  • Leadership-Adjacent Technical Skills
  • Translating business needs → technical requirements
  • Understanding Agile/Scrum for managing data projects
  • Prioritizing and balancing quick insights vs. long-term infrastructure
  • Vendor/tool evaluation – you’ll often choose what stack the company invests in
