Overview

The Senior Insurance Operations Administrator is a hybrid position for the Insurance Operations Team and Partner Relations.  This essential role is responsible for understanding all products and procedures, to successfully execute all of the administrative and operational functions of the department.     

Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of insurance products, policies and workflows
  • Complete system set-up of all new facilities and products
  • Process facility name changes
  • Perform all aspects of customer service, providing exceptional service to internal and external clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to insurance applications and accounts
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and support to colleagues on application processing, customer service and system functionalities
  • Process coverage or enrollment corrections
  • Provide support and assist Partner Relations, including but not limited to, processing applications, compiling offset packets, customer service and system changes
  • Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation and improvement
  • Assist with special projects
  • Other supporting duties as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Ensure all processes adhere to relevant federal and state regulations and internal policies, including HIPAA compliance where applicable
  • Actively supports and complies with all components of the compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting of suspected violations of law and Company policy
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information and abides with HIPAA and PHI guidelines at all times

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or 5-10 years of related experience in insurance administration or a similar field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance administration software
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Flexibility and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong ability to work independently, with management and/or with other Team Members
  • Take ownership of job responsibilities by initiating prompt and appropriate follow up and/or action to any issues that arise
